Crystal Awards
Since 1992, the Crystal Awards have publicly recognized outstanding achievement in fundraising and created pride in the development profession. In 2012 the revamped Crystal Awards will recognize four leaders in fundraising: a rising star, an experienced professional, an executive leader, and a community hero. Nominations will be solicited from WVDO members, the non-profit community, donors, business leaders, and the general public. Award winners will be showcased throughout the Conference and attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the winners’ successful development strategies.
The 2012 Crystal Awards
Starbright Award
“Rising star” with 1 – 5 years experience in the development field who has demonstrated outstanding skills, strategies or efforts during the early years of his/her career.
Barbara Stallcup Miller Professional Achievement Award
An experienced development professional with 10+ years in the field who has demonstrated exceptional achievements in fundraising and has advanced the development profession.
Executive Leadership Award
Outstanding CEO, executive director, or other key leader who has had a significant impact on fundraising for his/her organization.
Community Hero Award
Employee or volunteer who made innovative fund development efforts on behalf of an organization with no dedicated development staff.
