WVDO is pleased to offer a limited number of partial scholarships for the 2012 Regional Conference & Crystal Awards, May 17-18, 2012.  The purpose of the program is to enhance networking, training and professional development opportunities in the development field.

All applicants for scholarships must be an employee or a volunteer of a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations and have significant responsibility for development/fundraising.

Partial scholarship to the WVDO Regional Conference & Crystal Awards, May 17-18, 2012 at the Governor Hotel in Portland, Oregon.  Scholarship recipients will be expected to contribute $145 towards the cost of their conference registration and volunteer as a speaker liaison or room attendance for 2 sessions.

• Applicants for scholarships must be an employee or a volunteer of a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organizations and have significant responsibility for development/fundraising.
• Applicant must demonstrate the need for the scholarship and the expected impact that attendance at the conference will make on the development efforts of their organization.
• Applicant must be able to attend both days of the Regional Conference & Crystal Awards, May 17-18, 2012
• Applicant must be able to volunteer for 2 workshops sessions at the conference as a speaker liaison or room attendant.
• A completed application form is required.  Obtain the application form at the WVDO Conference website: www.myfundraisingconference.org

• Organization has an annual budget of $500,000 or less per year.
• Organization has fewer than three employees dedicated primarily to fund development activities.
• Applicant has been employed in a professional or significant volunteer capacity by the organization for at least one year.
• Applicant shows exceptional merit.
• Applicant is willing to share the cost of the registration in the amount of 145.00.
• Organization cannot have a current (2011) WVDO scholarship recipient on staff.

Deadline: April 2, 2012.  Late applications will not be accepted.

Selection: Notification is by email and/or phone by April 25, 2012.  Please note that scholarship applicants who meet all eligibility requirements but who are not selected for a scholarship will be able to register for the conference at the “early bird” registration rate until May 1, 2012.
